Halloween-ish K-Pop Playlist!

Dear Reader,

As Halloween is upon us, and because I have no blog scheduled today, I thought I’d share some of my favorite spooky or supernatural themes kpop songs! Hahaha–yes I know I’m right on top of things. So anyway, here we go!

Image result for yay kpop gif

Janus by Boyfriend – if you like angels and demons, we watch twins Youngmin and Kwakmin as they handle rejected, like two sides of a coin. Tbh, this is one of my top ten kpop songs, and I wish more people knew about it and Boyfriend!

Full Moon by Sunmi – before she was a Siren, she was a Vampire. Full moon came out while she was still with JYP, and it’s sold gold.

Growl by EXO – okay, I know they’re just dancing in a basement (parking lot whatever), but I always imagined they were werewolves in this MV, so I have no regrets in including it🤷

Married to the Music by SHINee – just some classic monster throwing a party lol.

Error by VIXX – are cyborgs considered holloween-y? I’ll say yes, but either way this song is a bop.

Black Tinkerbell by Chocolat – okay, the rest of the world might have forgotten about Chocolat, but I most certainly have not. The song is about a jealous Tinkerbell, so I’m gonna say fairies are definitely Halloween worthy.

You and I by Dreamcatcher – so this is kind of witches meet dimension hoping meets haunted house, and tbh I’m here for it.

Hobgoblin by CLC – this is probably the most hip-hop song on my playlist, but CLC is soooo underrated. If you’re looking for something mischievous checkout their MV!

Like a Cat by AOA – spies, werecats, must I say more? (okay I don’t think they were aiming to be werecats, but we love it)

Okay guys! I hope you enjoyed the songs on my playlist, and have a spooky week everyone!!

Love,

Rin

Untitled

Dear Reader,

I know quite a few people who follow me on social media really like kpop, but I wonder how many kpop Christmas songs you know? Here are ten of my personal favorite, which I am forever grateful for, because it’s a break from all the American songs I’ve heard ten million times.

EXO (M) – Miracles in December. I’m crying, I miss OT12. You have no idea, Lulu, Kris, Tao. This song is so beautiful, and I miss them so much. Excuse me while I go cry in my corner…

TTS – Dear Santsa. Not gonna lie, I didn’t realize there was an English version of this. I’ve been listening to the Korean version, I was kind of shook when I searched it to add to this playlist.

Orange Caramel & Nu’est- Dashing Through the Snow in Highheels. Yeah, if you know me at all you, you know I stan Nu’est, ergo, enjoy this masterpiece!

JYP Nation – This Christmas. Yeah, OG JYP, must I say more??

Taeyeon – This Christmas. This song came out a few days ago, but I’m adding it to my library anyway! I really like the calming melody, and Taeyeon’s voice is majestic!

Starship Planet – Christmas Day. This years Starship christmas song! It’s really good! The best one they’ve had since 2013~

f(x) – 12시 25분 (Wish List). Hello, I stan f(x), and you should too! Jk(but not really), in all seriousness this is a dreamy song, and I’m still screaming over it years later~

SHINee – Winter Wonderland. This is a Japanese song, and it’s so good! SHINee are true kings.

TEEN TOP – Snow Kiss. I love Teen Top, they are so goofy and silly. This song is the cutest!

Diary Entry: Senshi Con 2017

10.1.2017

Dear Reader,

I went to my first anime convention! Senshi Con is held in Anchorage every year, and even though it was a thing when I was in high school, I finally manage to make it like seven years later! Haha, it was a lot of fun!0.jpg

I went with my friend Sam! She drove us there, and then we walked to the event from the parking garage one street over. Neither of us have a sense of direction, and we may have gotten a little lost. It took us half an hour to walk to a place that should have taken us ten minutes… But I saw some interesting sculptures!

After we figured out we were going the wrong way, Sam lend us to the Dena’ina Center where the Con was being held (yes, I was the one who got us lost). From there we checked in (we pre-registered) and then walked into the venue.

There were a ton of booths with art, trinkets, and merch! Between Sam and I, we probably spent $100 on just art. She has a thing for Boku no Hero Academia and it was EVERYWHERE. I got art from Kami-sama no Kiss, and Princess Mononoke!

There was also kpop merch, and I got cute folders of Nu’est and Teen Top, but they were both older from around 2012. I also got a Black Pink folder, which was their lastest comeback, As If It’s Your Last! I also got a cute plushy, and three enamel pins!

After that, we went to the 5th avenue mall, and hung out for awhile. We ate a late lunch in the food court, which wasn’t very aesthetically pleasing, so I didn’t snap a pic of it for you… Oh, and we went into Hot Topic, Sephora, and Lush! We didn’t get anything, but it was fun looking around.

I really enjoyed the con, we mostly looked around, and talked to vendors! I was able to find some new artists to support as well. When we went home, Sam wished she had bought more posters, but I’m pretty satisfied with what I picked up. Next year, I won’t be able to go, so I’m glad I finally had a chance to experience Alaska’s tiny comic con.

Anyway, that’s all! I went home and wrote a paper that was due at midnight, and made dinner for my little sister. The rest of that Sunday was pretty uneventful.

So, as always, thanks for reading! Don’t foget to follow me on all my social media, and I’ll catch you all later!

Question of the day: have you ever gone to a con? Tell me you experience down below!

Travel Playlist: Fairbanks 2017

travel playlist fairbanks

Dear Reader,

Whenever I travel, I always have jams to accompany me. I primarily listen to kpop and jpop, some j-rock, and some american rock. This trip I primarily listened to kpop and jrock. So, here is the music I liked while in Fairbanks.

Anna Tsuchiya – 黒い涙

I had just finished rewatching NANA the anime before leaving for my trip, so I had the soundstrack stuck in my head. Kuroi Namida is currently my favorite song!

BAND-MAID – Daydreaming

I discovered Band-Maid recently, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. Their music is so good, and their style is sooooo pretty and elegant, I feel so blessed by their existence.

BAND-MAID – Choose Me

Like I said, BLESSED.

BABYMETAL – KARATE

I was actually watching this PV when BAND-MAID was recommended to me. This is also a pretty good song!

B1A4 – Rollin

Love this song! B1A4 is a group I’ve been following since middle school, so give them a listen. They don’t usually do songs like this, but it worked out really well, and I enjoy it!

HyunA – Babe

HyunA is queennnnnn, so give her a listen. This is officially my favorite song by her (actually every song by her is my fave, but ya know lol).

Li Gikwang – I Know What You Like

I love Beast (aka Highlight), so I always listen to the individual members solo songs as well. If you’re looking for a good bop, this is the one for you!

BTS – DNA

Ha, while I have many qualms about their fandom, I really like BTS as musicians. So I’ve been listening to their latest song a lot, and it’s pretty cute!

So, there you have it, all the songs I enjoyed while staying in Fairbanks, and on the plane. I hope you enjoyed it, and it gave you some recommendations while on your own trip! As always, thanks for reading!
